36th Si Haraj Coffee House Forum: working towards a better future

       The Academic Services Center hosted the36th Si Haraj Coffee House Forum to introduce its new administrators and members at the Center meeting room at Phimol Kolkitch Building on Nov 22.

       The Dean of Education Faculty assured all that the activities on teaching and learning development run by the forum at the Si Haraj School and KKU are going on well.

       Assoc. Prof. Dr. Amnouy Kamtuo, the Director of the Academic Service Center, Asst. Prof. Dr. Maitree Inprasith, the Dean of KKU Education Faculty, Bancha Phrapol, the Assistant to the KKU President, administrators, and personnel of the center were on hand to welcome 60 members of the Si Haraj Coffee House Forum. These memberswerefrom15 working agencies located around the KKU campus.

       Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Amnouy welcomed everyone, saying that today’s forum would also introduce new members as part of the change and transfer of working agencies‘ personnel.

       Col. Kanog Phumuang, the Deputy Commander of 3rd Infantry Regiment who is the Founder of Forum, also met with the new members. He said that the first Forum was held in October 2009 at the 8th Infantry Regiment headquarters. This then developed and worked out continually till it became one unity with close relationships among the agencies surrounding the campus, working for the benefit of people.

       Pol. Charnchai Aim-orn, Commander of the 8thInfantry Regiment said he and his team members would continue the work of the Forum for a better future in order to create more confidence among the people and nearby communities.

       Asst. Prof. Dr. Maitree told the Forum that the Faculty of Education has worked with the Royal Thai Army and will join in the development of teaching and learning of modern mathematics for the Sir Haraj Dechochai School.

       He added that he was confident that the form of teaching and learning development process at the school is the best method of mathematics teaching in Asia and Pacific region.

       Lastly, Assistant to the KKU President, Mr. Bancha announced the Loy Krathong activities this year. He added that during the festival will be held at KKU and urged the Forum members to participate in the traditional celebration which will include local Isaan Ponglang music band concerts, a Lam Kaen dancing contest, arts and cultural stage performances on and much more.
