Office of Academic Services - Faculty of Agriculture, Khon Kaen University, to guideline people into mango propagation skills for post-harvest livelihood creation to the community enterprise group of mango producers for export in Pa Po subdistricts.

The Office of Academic Services, in collaboration with the Faculty of Agriculture, Khon Kaen University, shares knowledge and skills to promote mango propagation as a profession and reduce expenses for the community enterprise group of mango producers for export in Pa Po subdistricts. This program involves more than 40 participants, with the goal of equipping farmers in the group with skills and knowledge in mango propagation to increase production and survival rates. This includes expanding distribution to members of the group or interested individuals to generate income and reduce costs. On June 21, 2023, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chuchat Kamollek, Director of the Office of Academic Services, visited the area to have a discussion with the members of the community enterprise group of mango producers for export in Pa Po subdistrict.
The objectives of this activity to coordinate and share knowledge to the community for sustainable development and improvement of quality of life according to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly the goal of ending poverty in all its forms everywhere. In this activity, we have received cooperation from the Faculty of Agriculture, to send experts to provide knowledge and transfer skills in mango propagation to the community enterprise group in Ban Pa Po.

In this activity, experts from the Faculty of Agriculture, Mr. Somyot Meeta and Mr. Chaowalit Silaadlao, agricultural professionals, are present on-site to provide knowledge and demonstrate methods of mango propagation, including grafting and budding, as well as guidance on the care and maintenance of desired mango varieties. This is to enable farmers to propagate mangoes on their own or engage in commercial activities to generate income after the export season of production and marketing management of Pa Po subdistricts.
