The Office of Academic Services - Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University, collaborated in transferring technology to enhance the community enterprise at Sala Mai Thai Community Hall, Chonnabot district.

Sala Mai Thai, also known as the Chaloem Phra Kiat 60th Anniversary Building, is located at Khon Kaen Vocational College. It was established in 1987 with the objective of developing the silk industry, silk weaving, including fabric production in the community and silk culture passed on generation for silk weaving. The hall showcases exhibitions related to A class of rich decorative shuttle-woven fabric with gold and silver thread is called silk brocade, Northeastern Thai silk products, Award-Winning Silk Beauty product, to create various types of weaving techniques, and products from the Sala Mai Thai Community Enterprise in Chonnabot districts.

On June 15, 2566, the Office of Academic Services, in collaboration with the Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University, organized an activity to promote Sala Mai Thai and its products through digital technology. The activity took place at Sala Mai Thai (Chaloem Phra Kiat 60th Anniversary Building) at Khon Kaen Vocational College in rural districts, Khon Kaen Province. Through discussions with the Sala Mai Thai Community Enterprise, the needs of fabric in Sala Mai Thai were identified through digital information. The Office of Academic Services collaborated with the Faculty of Education, with the honorable participation of Dr. Samart Singhma, the faculty's lecturer, who utilized the knowledge and technology of Chat GPT to create an application, which aims to present fabric information through a QR code system to facilitate the presentation of Sala Mai Thai's fabric information to tourists or interested individuals. It also serves as a platform for promoting and marketing products of the Sala Mai Thai Community Enterprise in an online format. The activity received cooperation from students of Khon Kaen Vocational College, totaling 40 participants, who learned and tested the usage of the application. They contributed to the development and promotion of the Sala Mai Thai Community Enterprise, making it more widely known and sustainable.

This project falls under the mission of coordinating academic services to the community (Community Outreach) and promoting and supporting university personnel in research and innovation to drive academic services in the form of Creating Shared Value (CSV). It involves appropriate technology transfer, particularly digital technology, for social development and the improvement of quality of life in line with sustainable development goals (SDGs). The project is supported by the budget from the Office of the President, Khon Kaen University.
